Colson Baker(born on April 22 1991) popularly referred to as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), is an American artist, rapper, songwriter, and actor. His genre duality in alternative rock and hip-hop is what made him famous. The mixtapes he released were four between 2007 and 2010, and then signed with Bad Boy Records. His debut album Lace Up (2012 with a peak at 4th place on the US Billboard 200), featured his hit single "Wild Boy" with Waka Flocka Flam. General Admission (2015) and Bloom 2017 were his third and second albums. The latter was the one that featured the smash single "Bad Things", which was sung by Camila Cabello. It reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. His fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2018) was a rap-oriented album. Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album Tickets to My Downfall was released in 2020. The album marked an unorthodox departure from hip hop and an entry into the world of pop punk. It reached number one on Billboard 200 and was the only rock album to achieve the same rank. The track "My Ex's Best Friend" also made it to number 20 on the Hot 100. The album was followed by the Mainstream Sellout (2022) which had him achieving similar commercial success. He has since appeared in the thriller Nerve (2016), the horror Bird Box (2018) and the comedy Big Time Adolescence, as well as the biopic The Dirt (both 2019).
