Tom Hanks

Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on the 9th of July 1956. He is an American actor film maker, director, and actor. Famous for his dramatic and comedic performances, he is considered to be one of the most popular and well-known film actors worldwide and is considered an American cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was the son of Janet Marylyn, a hospital worker, and Amos Mefford Hanks (an itinerant chef). His mother's name was originally "Fraga" and his father was primarily English. Tom was born into what he described as"a "fractured" family. He did not have any acting experience prior to college. This is what helped him begin his acting career. He went to downtown and tried to audition for a local theater play, was asked by the director of the play to Cleveland where his acting career began.
