
Lady Gaga is an American artist, singer, actress and musician with an estimated value of $320 million. Lady Gaga, also known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanyotta began her performance career as a musical theater and burlesque artist in the East Village in New York she was apparently trying to follow in the footsteps of nightclub performers turned superstars like Bette Midler and Madonna. She struggled for a couple of years, but she finally was able to start her career in 2005, recording her first album and writing songs for artists including Britney Spears, Fergie, and the Pussycat Dolls. The release of her first album, "The Fame", appeared to be only moderately successful, but it was only five months later that, the first single from the album, "Just Dance", was everywhere. She was touring relentlessly in Europe and in smaller clubs of the US. In 2009, a number of tracks from the album were being played on radio stations. For her hard work she earned multiple Grammy nominations, and two Grammy Awards. Her music has been a huge success , and she continues to attract attention. A vocal social activist as well as natural exhibitionist, her arrivals at awards shows are always greeted with their own specialized coverage.
